what is an escape room? 

An Escape Rooms is an immersive challenge requiring your team to work against the clock to complete the challenge. There’s lots of objects, codes and hidden hints that can help you to complete your mission in time.

You have to be smart and creative to solve the puzzles you find. Your team have to work together, think together and most importantly laugh together.

You aren’t locked inside the room and we can guide you if you get stuck.

All our rooms are family friendly and can accommodate between 2 - 6 people in 1 room or up to 18 people if all 3 rooms are played at the same time.

Great for team building activites or birthday parties.

bank diamond heist

This is a brand new escape room launched in February 2025! It replaces the previous Bank Vault Heist.

There is a very valuable diamond stored in the vault at the Bank of Backbarrow. You and your team have managed to gain entry to the Manager’s office. Now you need to gain entry to the Vault and steal the diamond without running out of time or setting off the alarm!

There are clues, hints and puzzles which need to be solved if you are going to be successful.

Haunted pirate ship

You team are the crew aboard Blackbeard’s ship, haunted by the late captain’s ghost. Treasure on board has been pillaged from enemy ships, but only a certain kind of treasure will help you and your crew. Before Blackbeard’s death, 8 gold coins were hidden on the ship and a series of puzzles and codes were left behind to ensure that only the most cunning of pirates could succeed.

Find the Pieces Of Eight to pay off the Gods of the Sea, finally lay the ghost to rest and buy your freedom. Should you fail, your fate is sealed as you and your crew will be lost to the watery depths! Time is running out, so climb aboard and prove yourselves worthy of being the most fearless pirates around!

VLAD THE VAMPIRE

Vlad the Vampire needs your help! He’s no ordinary Vampire, he’s easily scared and feels faint at the sight of blood!

Can you help Vlad by breaking into a Vampire’s castle, stealing a Medallion and escaping? You must use clues, solve puzzles and complete all of the challenges to find the medallion and escape before midnight.

Only if you are successful will Vlad manage to gain a seat at the Council of the oldest and most powerful vampires in Transylvania!

Vlad, unable to complete the test asks you to do it for him! You have one hour until midnight, when all vampires awake.

When you book an escape room it is just your team that will be playing the game and the price is based on the number of people playing, so the more people in your team the cheaper the per person price.

Located in Backbarrow at the Southern tip of Lake Windermere, just off the A590 near Newby Bridge and next to the Lakeland Motor Museum.

You can use LA12 8PX for your Sat Nav. Look out for the Motor Museum signs as this is the easiest way to find us.
